Our Success Story
L‘usine was established in Jeddah on a very simple principle; to make the most wholesome bread, cakes and pastries possible under the most hygienic of conditions and to provide the Saudi public with nourishing and high quality staple products. The long-term goal was building on these simple but vital principles to become the leading baked food manufacturer in Saudi Arabia and the region.

Upon its establishment in 1995, L’usine started with fewer than one hundred employees and just a handful of product lines. The firm then began its daunting task both energy and the foresight to employ the best people and the most efficient, modern equipment available to maximise the quantity and quality of its output.
Thirteen years later, those original principles are as strong as ever and the company is just as passionate about the quality and wholesomeness of L’usine products as when it began. In turn, consumers have recognised that dedication to quality and it has paid off handsomely. Through its commitment to quality, L’usine has claimed its leading position in Saudi Arabia and spares no effort in maintaining the high standards that are central to its success.

Today, L’usine employs over 1500 people and serves almost 70 percent of all stores and retail chains in Saudi Arabia. L’usine currently produces 35 different products divided into five categories: Bread, pastries, cakes, mamoul and sambousa. The pastry line commands over 55 percent of the pastry category (L’usine Cheese and Apple puffs account for most of that).
L’usine fully understands that perfection is not a destination; it is a never-ending journey. Because of this, research and development of ways to improve their products, further increase quality, improve texture, taste and their already distinctive appeal is a major and continuous part of their daily business.
